How To Change Wifi Password

To change the password of your wireless internet, you need to connect to the modem or router’s interface first. In the meantime, if you are setting up your modem or router for the first time, but do not know the current password, the user is typing a password for the first time in the user’s box or the user manual.

To change, while our computer is connected to the wireless network, we need to enter any browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press enter. At this stage, we need to log in to the interface of our modem or router. Each brand model can have a different user name and password to access the interface. For this reason, you can find out this information either by looking at the product manual or using a small search from Google.

If you have previously changed the password of the modem interface and you do not remember, you can reset the modem settings completely by pressing and holding the small reset button on the modem for a while, you can log in to the modem interface with the default username and password of the device.

If you cannot access any interface with 192.168.1.1, you need to open “Run’ in Windows and write ipconfig. It is possible to learn your local IP address by looking at the  Default Network Temporary.

After logging in to the Modem / Router interface, we need to access the wireless network settings by clicking on the section that says  Wireless. In this section, you can change the current password by clicking on the section ire Wireless Network Name (SSID) Bu. While the password must be a minimum of 8 characters, it is also useful to use symbols and numbers with small and large letters to be safe.

At this point, if your modem is a dual-band modem, you need to change both the 2.4 GHz band and the 5 GHz wireless network. Although technically both are connected to the same internet network, there are different wireless networks, so you can make different passwords for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. You can also change the name given to the wireless network with the password from the Wireless Network Name (SSID) section. This name will be the name you will see when you want to connect to the internet with different devices.
